Primitive Augsburg Chess

Introduction

Augsburg Chess is a variant first seen in fairy problems where pieces are allowed to move into cells  occupied by friendly pieces thus creating a single super-piece.

Set-up

The game is played on a board of 10x10 squares
Each player starts the game with 30 pieces - 2 each of Senator, Longbowman, Tower, Deacon, Knight, Elephant, Camel, Bishop, and Rook; 10 Pawns, 1 Queen and 1 King.
There are two other types of piece not on the board at the start - the Wazir and Ferz.

Pieces

Pieces may be classified into three groups - Primitive, Compound, and Independent; and the compound pieces may be sub-classified as First-order, Second-order or Third-order

The Wazir and Ferz are the primitive pieces from which the first-order compound pieces of Knight, Elephant, and Camel are constructed.  These first-order compounds may be used to build the second-order compound pieces of Bishop, Rook, Tower, Deacon, and Longbowman.  Finally there are the two third-order compounds of Queen and Senator.  The independent pieces, the King and Pawn, play no part in the formation of compound pieces.

To build a compound piece simply move one of the components onto a square containing the required second component.

To split a compound piece simply move it to an empty square where it is replaced by one of its components, the second component being placed on the square from which the original compound piece started its move.

The Queen and Senator, when moved to an empty square may transform into the other at the destination square.
